who we are
We’re Gian Piero e Michela, two Very Normal People.
In the past we’ve had first German Sheperds , the first love of Gian Piero,
with them we’ve approached the show rings, then Afghan Hound ,big passion of Michela,
and now this extraordinary breed: the SHAR PEI.
Our first shar pei was KHAMBALIQ NUTELLA (NUTY), a chocolate female coming to us in 1993;
don’t ask us “why a shar pei?”, we can’t explain, maybe his strange appearance and his long history have
fascinated us and so we decided to buy a Shar pei.
Fortunately Ms Isabella Pizzamiglio of Khambaliq Kennel had some pups, NUTY came to us and we started our
“adventure”; today we have 13 peis.
We started soon to attend to the world of expo and NUTY became Young Italian Champion, Italian Champion
and International Champion, she leave us too soon but she's still living in our hearts.
Breeder and exihibitors are not always too friendly with the novice, but we’ve had our second fortune:
we knew Dami and Fiore of CHANCJS GRU KENNEL
, we’re in debt with them: their hints, their dogs and their
friendship helped us to reach the little results of these years.
From Chancjs Gru Kennel arrived Cahncjs Gru Theriverofmylfe – MORDILLA, Chancjs GRu Youhaveagoodtime – GINO
and Chancjs Gru Gigabite –SMOUGHIE:
GINO e SMOUGHIE are both Italian Champions ; the last month arrived CHANCJS GRU LISTENTOMESWEETLY (Bilbo)
co-owned by CHANCJS GRU and BLACK MUSCK KENNEL.
At this time we’re very proud of our TEA, a female born in our kennel,
who came from GINO and KHAMBALIQ MTY TOY and is Young Italian Champion and Italian Champion.
In 2003 ENCI (Italian Kennel Club) and FCI recognized our kennel as DANDONGPEI;
this is a great satiscfaction for us but it’s not a point of arrival, till we’ll breed shar pei
we’ll try to give our little contribution to the improvement of this wonderful breed.

Clearly there must be a special feeling between us and wrinkles. After 3 years of reflections finally the
BASENJIcome to us! Even if she has wrinkles on her head an a curly tail, she's not a shar pei.
